POST : RESEARCH ASSISTANTS FOR STILL BIRTH PROJECT

JOB DESCRIPTION:
CUHAS –BUGANDO in collaboration with Lugina Africa Research Network (LAMRN) as part of NIHR Global Health Research Group on still birth and management is planning to conduct a study on Still Birth at the consultant hospital Bugando Medical centre and Misungwi district hospital
The study seeks to gain understanding of the complexities surrounding delays ineffective intrapartum care in Tanzania and use this knowledge to develop and implement appropriate interventions to reduce sill births
TERMS OF REFERENCE
There search group is seeking for dedicated Research Assistants (RAs) to join the Tanzania team lead to conduct surveys and qualitative interviews to key stakeholders of Still Birth
RAs will report to the Team lead. Successful applicants will be oriented to the study and should be ready to start the job from 1st February for two years
QUALIFICATION
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, midwifery or any other health
related background from a formally recognized University. Diploma holders
with at least one-year work experience in the in reproductive health issues
may apply.
Must have proficient computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel)
Prior experience with data collection is an added advantage
Demonstrate accurate and efficient data entry using computers is considered an asset
Must be fluent in Swahili and English with excellent communication skills in both
languages. Fluency in Sukuma will be an added advantage.
Must be flexible and the candidate maybe required to work long hours, holidays
and weekend sat times where necessary
The candidate should bring all original documents at the time of interview.
